Andy Berg

Head of Development

Andy Berg is the Head of Development for NBC News’ Peacock Productions. Before joining NBC News in July 2018, Berg consulted on development and talent for National Geographic Channel. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Development at Animal Planet, where he co-ran the department and developed the hit series, Alaskan Bush People.

Previously, he was the Senior Director of Non-Fiction and Alternative Programming at A&E/Bio. During his tenure, Berg developed and executive produced numerous series, specials and pilots, including the highly rated Hoarders, The First 48 and The Peacemaker. He also oversaw A&E’s weekend lifestyle block.

Berg began his career at WTTW/PBS Chicago, before moving on to write and produce for companies including Towers Productions, A&E, History, Bio, ABC News Productions, and WNBC New York.

Berg is an Emmy Award winner and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Radio/TV/Film.
